My good friend, Mark Forman, pointed out that the band DaftPunk has released a very effective — and all encompassing widget to promote their upcoming world tour on 19 November. His comments follow the widget (posted directly below if you’re not seeing it in your feed reader). It is good to see bands/musicians using technology and social media outreach to engage their audiences and potential new fans.
French electronic group DaftPunk opted to use social networking tools to engage their fans and promote their new world tour via this widget here. Very good use of tools in a lifestyle practical way. Full disclosure: It turns me on to say widget in a social media kind of way.
