Are You a Musician? Are You on the PMN?
Nov 20I have to wonder why any independent musician in the world would not be checking out the Podsafe Music Network and subscribing immediately.
If you are interested in getting MANY more listeners than you currently have; you want more CD sales; you want more people to come to your gigs; etc. you must realize that people have to know about your product. How is anybody going to try you out if they can’t hear what you’re recording/playing?
The Podsafe Music Network (brainchild of former MTV v-j Adam Curry and his good friend, Ron Bloom) offers musicians a chance to share their songs with others, get their music played on podcasts all over the world, and create exposure in places your band would never reach.
Do you have misgivings about letting people hear your stuff? Would you frown upon a radio station playing your music? Would you frown upon a guy playing your stuff in his CD player while another friend rides in the car? If so… what are you doing creating music, anyway?
Get on it. The Podsafe Music Network. Oh, and if you do, drop me a note… maybe I’ll play you on the Miami Valley Musicast sometime.
BTW… I don’t get anything for referring you there. I just hate to see artists getting ripped off by the major labels (and RIAA) and want to give every independent musician I can the chance to get rewarded (and paid, of course) for their efforts. Keep it real. You made it, you own it, you should reap the benefits of it.
